This video cuts deeper than the others because ItalianAware is based in, you guessed it, Bensonhurst, Brooklyn, New York. Is Bensonhurst an Italian area of New York? Absolutely. Is it whatever nonsense this video imagines it to be? Absolutely not. This video is not a parody-its a tragedy. Just a quick fact check here: I went to a predominately Italian private high school in Brooklyn. 90% of my graduating class went on to college straight out of high school. Our Italian Valedictorian went to Harvard, and our Italian Salutatorian went to MIT. As far as I can tell, no one has gone on to become a gangster or star on the Jersey Shore. Italians are above and beyond these Anti-Italian stereotypes, whether the media (and the public) would like to believe it or not.
